In support of government’s efforts to effectively manage the effects of and spill-over presence of foot and mouth disease (FMD) outside of the controlled zone, the Limpopo Animal Health Forum (LAHF) in conjunction with the national industry organisations for red meat producers (RPO and RPO Limpopo), will host a FMD information day on 23 January 2019 at 08:00 (click HERE to view programme).
The goal of the information day is to comprehensively inform all concerned parties about the planned management procedures and responsibilities of each role player on the road to recover SA’s export status.
Concerned parties and especially farmers, that are influenced through the announced procedures to manage the FMD situation are invited to attend the information day. A panel of experts will also answer questions.
Our message to consumers remain: “The meat in the shop fridges are as safe as always. There is no need for concern. Enjoy your red meat every day!”
